All the plants shown below can be found in one or more of the north coast redwood parks from Humboldt Redwoods State Park up to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, or in very close proximity.

See how many you recognize.

Not every feature for identification is provided. There's enough so that if you are familiar with the local plants, as well as the forest environment, an answer should be possible. In other words, some may require more than just recognizing parts of the plants, and understanding how things change in the forest.

The table to the right gives reference for numbering if you want to write them down before checking the answer page later.

If a photo seems to have more than one species, focus on the one which seems to be the center of attention (like the yellow leaf would be the one in the bottom row). If in doubt between two species, go for the most likely that we should expect to look this way.
