Although this is not a hike, I included the grove anyway.

Organ Donors Grove in Jedediah Smith Redwoods is a relatively quiet grove, and visitors are infrequent. The path is short, and there are not many very large coast redwoods. But the location has a peculiarly relaxing atmosphere about it. Maybe that hardly anybody goes there. This is a place to go and relax.

It has a small creek that is partly seasonal, but seems to flow most of the year. Access is easy, and its maybe a one or two minute walk in. The gravel parking area is about 120 feet south of Hy. 199, to the side of Elk Valley Rd.

Although this grove isn't like Stout Grove or the Simpson Reed trail grove area, I still find myself drawn to this small stand of redwoods. I seem to visit yearly.
