Below, you will find a list of some lodging, motels and restaurants near the redwood parks. I included places where I ate or stayed at, or which looked promising for cost, cleanliness or value based on some searching and reviews. The Redwood Motel is top-notch.

 

Curly Redwood Lodge Motel Redwood Forest Rooms and Lodging

The Curly Redwood, Hiouchi and Ravenwood motels in Crescent City, Hiouchi and Klamath are my personal favorites, because of the great rates, clean rooms, and because I explore nearby often.

Lodging

Ravenwood Motel In Klamath. With decorated rooms, wireless Internet,, quiet location and excellent rates, Lodging for fishing, hiking, or birding, vacation. This accomodation was the first place I ever woke up in the morning and needed a moment to realize that I was not at home: very comfortable. Motel / Hotel.

Hiouchi Motel in Hiouchi next door to Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Has WiFi and will accomodate "well behaved" pets. Near the Smith River. The rooms were quaint, sparkling clean, and the little community is attractive for a highway location.

Curly Redwood Lodge Crescent City along Highway 101. Near food and shopping. Built from a curly redwood. 5 minutes from the Redwood park. The rooms are rather large. Older accomodation but well-maintained with Wi-Fi and cable TV. Been here often.

Redwood Motel GRANTS PASS, Oregon. If you need a place closer to Interstate 5, the Redwood Motel is one of the nicest places around. Maybe an extra stepping stone to the coast, or a comfortable room for a day drive to Jedediah Smith redwoods,The landscaping is gorgeous, including some coast redwood and giant sequoia. The main lobby has a comfortable feel, with breakfast snacks, beverage coolers, coffee most of the day, and a computer hooked up for fast internet browsing. Apparently there are plans to add some new "Hyperion Suites" too, a new addition named after the world's tallest redwood. Check out the photos on their website.

Super 8 Fortuna At Fortuna. Lcated by the Avenue of the Giants Redwoods in Northern California. WiFi, Cable TV

Historic Requa Inn Klamath: National Georgraphic Traveler magazine 2009 Stay List. Home-cooked food, camaraderie with guests. Bed-and-breakfast. 10 rooms.

Palms Motel & Cafe Orick. Motel, restaurant. Wi-fi, Indoor Pool. Home made pies. Highway 101, near Redwood National Park.

Carter House Inns & Restaurant Eureka, CA. Near Carson Mansion in Eureka old town. Between Avenue of the Giants and Redwood National Park.

Trinidad Bay Bed & Breakfast Overlooking Trinidad Bay and Lighthouse. Only historic B&B in Trinidad. A quintessential B&B.

Benbow Hotel and Resort near Garberville. Tudor-style hotel,. pool, RV resort, golf. Near hiking, kayaking and birding. Near Avenue of the Giants.

Redwood Coast Vacation Rentals. Vacation retreats in Trinidad, Arcata & Ferndale. Close to beaches, town, hiking, and the Redwoods.

Myers Country Inn Myers Flat . Bed & Breakfast on the scenic Avenue of the Giants, minutes from redwoods. Former stage stop.

Travel Inn Fortuna, CA. 20 miles north of Avenue of the Giants near Victorian Village of Ferndale. 25 rooms. Rates start low, especially off-season.

Restaurants

The Chart Room Cresent City. An excellent restaurant for seafood and other meals. I eat there often. Overlook ocean.

The Larrupin' Cafe Trinidad. Not inexpesive. Really good food. Culinary ... entertaining. Patrick's Point Drive. About 20 minutes south of Redwood National Park.

Cher-ae Heights Casino Sunset Restaurant Trinidad. Overlook coastline, Casino, restaurant, lounge.

Trinidad Bay Eatery and Gallery Trinidad. A favorite of visitors, locals and fishermen since 1975.

Hawg Wild - Orick. Now reported closed. Food was superb.

The Country Club. In Klamath. Directly across from Ravenwood Motel. Good burgers. Beer & Drinks. Although the menu is small, this place if comfortable. And maybe smoky too.
