Prehistoric Gardens Port Orford, Oregon. If you plan to go past Brookings or Gold Beach, consider Prehistoric Gardens as a destination. Near Port Orford, along 101. Just 69 miles north of Crescent City.

TreesofMystery Over 50 years. Premier attraction on coast south of Crescent City. Cable car / Gondola ride, motel, gift shop and the Forest Cafe. Native Indian artifact museum.

Drive Through Redwood Leggett has the Chandelier drive-thru redwood. Gift shop. Dawn to dusk year round. You can have the opportunity to drive a car through, walk, or ride your motocycle.

Drive Through Redwoods Information USDA & Forest Service pages about the drive through redwoods. The ones remaining now are all coast redwoods. One giant sequioa drive-though no longer remains.

Explore Del Norte Northern California and America’s Wild River Coast, is renowned for ancient redwoods, the scenic Klamath Smith river, world-class fishing and bird watching. Spectacular beaches, wildlife.

Sunny Fortuna About Fortuna, a small town near Richardson Grove and Rockefeller Forest. About 8 hours south of Portland and where I pause when I go to the Avenue of the Giants.

Ferndale Victorian Community Historic village between Eureka and the Avenue of the Giants. Shops, lodging, restaurants and a lot of old architecture to enjoy. This is not even an hour from the Avenue of the Giants and Myers Flat area.

101 Things to do in Humboldt County Ad magazine, printed and online, full of places to see and do. This is a great publication. Check it out. Great illustrations and a lot of ads. Its commercial feeling, but its an excellent resouce.
